FRIARY FESTIVAL ~ SCULPTURES
WORKS FOR THE SPIRIT
An exhibition of the work of Jesuit priest and sculptor, Father Rory Geoghegan SJ.
Father Rory has described his works as "contemporary sacred art". His purpose has been to appeal to people who spend time in prayerful reflection.
He has had in mind for many of the sculptures a subject and sometimes an iconography; his ideas often coming out of prayerful and challenging times in his own life.
Father Rory's commentary is used to describe each of the illustrations.
Please click here for an introduction to the exhibition by Father Rory.
The thirteen sculptures will be displayed in the Friary Church and Cloisters. Together they are a prayerful meditation on the story of Salvation. Please click on the icons for more information about the individual sculptures. (This will open a new window in your browser.)
